The vibrant music scene of Ireland is loved all over the world. The record collection of singer Anneke van Giersbergen is also filled with it. Both traditional Irish folk and successful rock bands. Anneke's clear voice is perfectly suited for a beautiful anthology of Irish music.

Singer Anneke van Giersbergen is coming to Markant! Anneke has one of the most versatile voices in the Netherlands: powerful and vulnerable. She became known as the frontwoman of The Gathering, but she has now had a successful solo career for many years.

In 2019, Anneke was awarded the Buma ROCKS! Export Award in recognition and appreciation of her success abroad.

In early 2021, her candid solo album The Darkest Skies Are The Brightest was released. In the fall of 2021, Anneke participated in the popular television program Beste Zangers, where she made a strong impression with her interpretations of the songs. With her semi-classical arrangements of iconic hard rock and metal songs, Anneke toured successfully through Dutch theaters in 2024.

In 2025, the EP La Vie will be released, the first part of a trilogy with new original work: La Vie, La Mort, L’Amour. These three EPs will be released throughout 2025-2026.
