What if you were the only survivor after the downfall of humanity? Remko Vrijdag takes you into his absurd, post-apocalyptic world full of humor, tragedy, and sardonic fun.

Remko Vrijdag's first solo show is coming to Markant and is the surprise of the year! He received five stars in NRC for 'Friday, Doomsday'.

‘Brilliantly funny’, ‘Incredibly entertaining’, and ‘Completely crazy’ wrote the press about the acclaimed debut of the former Flying Panther. A performance in which Remko pulls you into his absurdly realistic universe. And the birth of a new genre: End-of-the-world conference.

What do you mean? Well, humanity has completely gone extinct and Remko Vrijdag is somehow the only survivor. How fun is that? Mwah, it varies quite a bit, he knows by now from experience. That there is no audience left is a shame, but on the other hand: how solo do you want it to be?

'Friday Doomsday' is a post-apocalyptic tragicomedy, a dystopian one-man show for adults who can handle the dark. Vrijdag tells, jokes, and sings with sardonic pleasure about how we have all let it come to this.

'Friday Doomsday' moves rapidly between cabaret, theater, and small-scale art. Ambitious, deep, really funny, and his most personal program to date.
