Opera: Carmen

After the overwhelming success of La Traviata last season, the choice for this year could only be Carmen! In a time when femicide and violence against women are high on the social agenda, this theme may be more relevant than ever.

In their collaboration with Ukrainian opera houses, the team met singers who truly form the dream cast for this opera. The lead roles are played by soloists who previously shone in La Traviata. Together, they make up the dream quartet for this opera. This young, dynamic, and energetic cast of world-class talent guarantees vocal fireworks and thrilling performances.

Just like last season, both the ensemble and the orchestra are mostly made up of Ukrainian musicians and singers living in the diaspora.

Just like with La Traviata, Ukraine Chamber Opera presents an intimate, pure version of this classic. There is no excess of decor and costumes, but a powerful staging that places you, the audience, right in the middle of the action. This creates an unprecedented intensity and experience, as was also praised by the press and audience last year.
