You want to find yourself in a village square in France where Gerard Alderliefste celebrates the French chanson together with friends and with you. Enjoy, sing along, and be surprised by the eight-member musical ensemble.
An evening full of special musical encounters and beautiful stories from their now third episode of Une Belle Histoire. In the past seasons, Gerard, along with seven enthusiastic music friends, has conquered the theaters. They captured the hearts of their audience with the cheerful atmosphere of a fête du village, a classic French village festival, where many well-known hits are performed. And now they are back with episode 3, in which you are taken along by the warm French sounds of, among others, accordion and violin, through the joie de vivre and the love for music and the French language.
The bond between Gerard and his timeless favorite song is strong. The hit by Michel Fugain & Le big bazar from 1972 is actually a kind of red thread in his career. From birthday parties as a boy at home, to evenings at Gelredome with Paul de Leeuw for 30,000 people, from living room concerts to the countless theaters, the song consistently forms a highlight.
No, not much has changed since those early years: non, non, rien n’a changé. That song will therefore not be missing in ‘Une belle histoire’. Julien Clerc and the swinging Elle voulait qu’on l’appelle Venise will not be absent either. Furthermore, you can look forward to original work by Gerard and interpretations by singers such as Lara Fabian and Pravi.
Histoire
Alderliefste gained fame with his eponymous band through collaborations with top artists Ramses Shaffy, Liesbeth List, and Paul de Leeuw. He had two top 10 hits with them: Laat me / Vivre and Une belle histoire / Een mooi verhaal. Both titles still rank high in the top 2000 every year. They made four albums and did as many theater tours.
