In this performance, the story unfolds of a woman who is searching for answers to big life questions.

Between waking and dreaming, she finds beauty and comfort in the poetic works of Spain's most famous poet, Federico García Lorca. Both have two faces: exuberant joy of life accompanied by a dark shadow. He becomes her advisor and inspirer, and together they lose themselves in the Andalusian night. When she realizes that she can use her connection with Federico to dispel her fears, the nocturnal meetings grow into an obsession that nearly costs her her relationship with the real world. Her tumultuous desire to survive ultimately makes the light conquer the darkness.

From her unique perspective as a Dutch flamenco singer and theater maker, Luna Zegers creates a new story around Lorca's poems.

Luna: "I know the flamenco culture from the inside out through my study of flamenco singing at the conservatory in Barcelona and performances with well-known artists from the Spanish flamenco scene. Flamenco brings people together, and in Spain, I regularly experience firsthand how strong the unifying effect of this music culture is."
