Fiesta Gitana Morél

Pure flamenco, true flamenco, GYPSY FIESTA MORÈL. Eric Vaarzon Morel and Raquela Ortega, together with a group of five Spanish flamenco artists, present a nostalgic yet refreshing theater performance: dance from then and now, with spectacular footwork, fueled by handclapping, melancholic flamenco singing, and virtuosic guitar playing. Olé, vamos!

Eric Vaarzon Morel is known as the uncrowned king of flamenco in the Netherlands. He has created numerous flamenco performances and has frequently appeared on programs such as De Wereld Draait Door and Podium Witteman. Now he joins forces with Raquela Ortega, the well-known flamenco dancer from Spain who has worked with greats like Placido Domingo and Paco Peña.

Eric brings a flamenco spectacle full of passion and virtuosity with his friends from Madrid, a tribute to the true flamenco, the flamenco puro that is not often seen in Dutch theaters anymore. Joyful and heartfelt, viva Espana, viva el flamenco puro!
