In 'Do It Again: The Best of Steely Dan', the ten-member band The Royal Dutch Scam, led by singer Lo van Gorp, succeeds in live reproducing the legendary perfection of Steely Dan's studio albums. This band, consisting of the crème de la crème of session musicians, even convinces the most cynical fans. Do you remember the Steely Dan hits from the '70s? Big hits like Rikki Don’t Lose That Number, Do It Again, Reelin’ In The Years, and Hey Nineteen. 

In theater maker and musician Diederik van Vleuten, the band found the perfect companion to take to the theater. 'Do It Again: the Best of Steely Dan' is a fascinating journey through the best songs written by Donald Fagen and Walter Becker. What meaning lies behind the lyrics? How was this music created? An evening full of dark humor, literature, drugs, and rock-'n-roll. A journey filled with bizarre stories and hilarious anecdotes. But above all, a lot of music at the very highest level.
