Jules Keeris returns to Markant after 6 years! In his second cabaret program, Jules explores his identity full of contradictions. He is a small-town boy in the city and vice versa. Super ambitious and just as much longing for simplicity and peace.

A 'football hooligan' in the cultural sector. Assertive and hesitant. And now he suddenly finds himself in his thirties: no longer young, yet he still doesn't quite feel like one of the grown-ups. 'Knegsel-Zuid' is about the fear of falling between the cracks, but it is also an ode to his Brabant roots. Because he is proud of that. For this performance, he collaborated with friend and songwriter JW Roy.

Jules Keeris (Knegsel, 1993) is a comedian, actor, and director. In 2018, he graduated from the Academy for Theater (cum laude) in Tilburg. He successfully toured with his first program 'De Uitverkorenen' and won awards and finalist spots at various comedy festivals. In addition to his solo work, he directs theater productions and fellow comedians, acts in theater performances and TV commercials, and performs across the country with the musical theater company 'De Italianen'. Jules' work is comedic, often has an absurd edge, and is always filled with joy and compassion for his fellow human beings. His performances feel like a warm bath, where there is plenty of laughter.
